Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Plugg is an escrow marketplace for Nigeria. Sellers list items, agents share them with buyers and earn commission, and buyers pay into escrow. Plugg holds the money until the buyer approves the item.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Plugg.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 and give true details. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Sellers and anyone withdrawing money must complete identity verification with a valid NIN or BVN, a Nigerian phone number and an address. We may suspend accounts that give false details or break these terms.
3. Listings and pricing
Sellers must describe items honestly, including condition, months used and known faults. Photos must be of the real item.
Prices are fixed once a deal room opens. Negotiation inside deal chat is not allowed and is blocked. Plugg may flag or remove listings that look misleading, overpriced or unsafe.
4. Escrow and payment
Buyers pay the item price plus a delivery fee shown before payment. Payments are processed by Paystack. Plugg holds the funds in escrow while the item is shipped, inspected and delivered.
When the buyer approves, the seller is paid the price minus the agent commission. If the buyer rejects the item, it is returned and the buyer is refunded once the seller confirms the return. Never pay outside Plugg. Payments made outside Plugg are not protected.
5. Logistics inspection and damaged goods
Plugg Logistics inspects goods before delivery. Items that are damaged, fake or do not match the listing fail inspection, are returned to the seller, and the buyer is refunded.
A seller whose goods fail inspection pays a fine, deducted from their Plugg wallet. The current fine is shown in the app before you list.
6. Agents and commission
Sellers set an agent commission. Plugg keeps a platform fee from that commission, and agents always see the amount they take home before they claim a deal.
Commission is earned only when the deal completes. Agents must not spam, mislead buyers or share personal contact details to take deals off Plugg.
7. Withdrawals
Verified sellers and agents can withdraw their available balance to a Nigerian bank account in their own name. We may hold a withdrawal while we review a dispute or suspected fraud.
8. Disputes
Either party can open a dispute after delivery. Plugg reviews the deal room, logistics notes and evidence, then releases the funds to the seller or refunds the buyer. Our decision on escrow funds is final for that deal.
9. Prohibited items
You may not list illegal items, weapons, drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, live animals or anything restricted by Nigerian law.
10. Liability
Plugg provides the platform and escrow. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app before major changes take effect. Continuing to use Plugg means you accept the updated terms.
